sherbet pips were the crack of there day, pinks were uppers and whites were downers, could never overcome the whole "pink is for girls" thing, which probably explains why i can be a miserable bastard at times.
Cola cubes were made from discarded coke bottles which is where both the glass like shards and chewy residue bit comes from, Pineapple cubes on the other hand was the poor kids alternative. Fruit Salads anyone? Black Jacks? Aniseed twists aka cough sweets (nasty bits of work.) Chewing Nuts were pretty good as well, another jaw killer. self constructed multicolored opal fruit balls has been done by pretty much everybody i'd imagine, but can anyone else here admit to getting the bloody things mixed up with plasticine? same sort of texture, one tastes better though. Rainbow drops.... chocolate buttons + extras = tasty candy cigarettes. what was the name of them huge gobstoppers that tasted like aftershock liquer? more to the point aftershock red tastes exactly like they did... answers on a post card please -------------------- Retired...

I can't believe we have all forgotten the sherbert flying saucer thingies! The way the outside melted like cardboard doesn't to release a monster hit of sherbert! Fantastic.

yup fyong saucers would be a great way to market paracetemol, or charlie.
refreshers if manipulated right (ie you squeezed em to form a tube and then drew a sharp intake of breathe) gave a pretty good "hit" usually followed by a coughing fit. -------------------- Retired...

Do they still make any of these things? I've not seen cola cubes, proper refreshers, flying saucers or anything for years.

What about shebert lemons? If anything could beat cola cubes at ripping the roof of your mouth off, it had to be them..... but damn they were good! And did anybody elses grandparents have an endless supply of murray mints?
