God your hard work - It was in the inside lane of the M25 between the M3 junction and the A30 junction (Egham).  He was doing possibly 60/65 miles an hour and I was in the middle lane doing more than him so I passed him.

Mike what you have to remember is I don't drive a family saloon and I can overtake moving vans!!!

Back to my point why should people ask the PATROL for details.

Quote (paul @ Jan. 25 2002,17:06)
Whilst driving along the M25 on the way to the office today, I saw an AA van. †The decals on the side said "Join Here Now". †I know that would be tricky as the guy was driving and so was I but I also notice the back window!! †In the little windows at the back were two messages:

Left - "Join Here Now"
Right - "Ask the Patrol for more info"

I obviously missed the meeting when we spoke about advertising the AA. †What do I need to say when people ask me? † †

Who's idea was this?

You said you saw the side, which had "Join here now" and then saw the back windows, thus according to your post the van went past , hence you saw the, "Ask the Patrol for more info" bit on the back windows and once it past you :)

Therefore we must assume that you saw the said messages at said times in the paragraph, if however you did pass the van then maybe a restructuring of the paragraph or correct description of the said events would not lead to you having a heated debate :)
