Published in PGI magazine;

Forced to see out the week pretending to work, waiting for the next paint fix ? life can be tough. For those of you struggling with your addiction, www.ringerpatrol.net is a great little rehab center. But what is 'Ringer Patrol To use their words: "The Ringer Patrol is the knowledge that no matter who or where you are, you're no further than six feet from someone more f**ked up than you are." Any clearer? No, nor are we.

The site is testimony to the patrolers' obsession with Kung Fu, Counter Strike and ad things Paintball. It's put together by a group of friends who spend their time getting up to some crazy antics.

The bulk of the Paintball stuff on the site comes from the team's first hand accounts of hazy days way back when. Their stories typically start out on some cold Sunday morning and end up somewhere around, "He was so drunk he was standing IN the fire, and Darren's shoes had all but disintegrated."

Ringer Patrol also features some laydee 'bailers with attitude speaking their brains. "You usually get the line 'Oooh sorry for shooting you ? didn't realize you were a girl'' sneers Ringer Patrol's janette. "This kind of comment makes it all the more satisfying when you shoot them in the goggles and say to them 'Oooh sorry for shooting you ? didn't realize you were shit.?

Just in case you skipped Paintball school, the site includes some good technical breakdowns of the .68 Automag and electro?pneumatic Shocker. There are blow?by?blow accounts of the markers' firing mechanisms with some nice 3D pictures that spin and have different pretty colors to choose from ? ahhh lovely.

The Patrol also has their own Paintball forum which is a good set?up but still pretty much in?house at the moment, all the more reason to get on there and shake it up.

A pornalike veteran and someone who can't seem to escape the public eye is the Patrols' main man, Beard. Not only does he pop up with numerous celebrities but he is also the holder of the prestigious Kung Fu Beard of the Year Award. Here's a man who has truly cultivated a beard of Champions Beard, we salute you.

The site could do with a bit of an update as some sections are a little bare and most of the posts are from 2001 but weíll let them off as they've been redesigning.

So if you feet like swapping Paintball tales, or just reading about a man who claims to having created his own nemesis by inventing clip art, visit the site. Oh, and if you're into ritual humiliation, you can take your problems to Janette and she will point at you and laugh ? nice.

cool eh!  Olly didn't write it, but just asked someone else to check it out.  Therefore it's an independent opinion, therefore we kick ass!
