If at any point there is no more sausage meat on the planet in say a 1000 years time will vegetarian sausages bear any resembalance to the taste of the meat ones... As it stands at the moment vegetarian sausages do not bear any resemblance in taste to there meaty counterparts, so why are they allowed to even be called sausages?
Same can be said for vegetarian mince. At what point did it get minced? If anything it may have got blended but at no point did one solid lump of an organic compound get put through a mincer. Its not right. If vegetarians want to have these immitation foodstuffs that aren't what they say they are, then why cant they get there own names for there foodstuffs... quorn burgers?... burgers my arse, quorn patties would be a more suitable name. Veggies defend yourselves! meat eater...

They are named after the meat counterpart because if they didnt we might end up buying them thinking its some new interesting food when infact we are just being cheated out of our sausages

I went to a veggie restaurant in Brixton once & had 'mock' crispy duck.
Unfortunately the lack of protein (nothing to do with the booze) caused me to fall backwards down the escalator at Waterloo (whilst halfway up) banging my head several times on the way, leaving imprints of the metal steps & some nice cuts all over me. I then had to have a tetnus jab in me arse. If thats not a good enuff reason to stick to the real McCoy i'll eat my shoes (leather of course)  -------------------- Well it 'looked' like apple juice....
