Which ones better?

Pros and cons...

====Smarties===

pro's
- Have the answer
- Orange ones are tasty
- Great alphabet creation potential due to letters on the tube tops.
- Come in tubes, in which you can trap an angry wasp to make a cheap though potentially painfull, vibrator.
- Tubes form a makeshift weapon, using the lids as ammunition
- British.

con's
- Nonfast colouring invariably gets all over your hands
- Have a very "childish" image
- Tubes just dont contain enough of them.
- Lids can be dangerous when used as a makeshift weapon.

==== M&M's ====

Pro's
- Adult image
- Mars chocolate in general is tastier than nestle's
- Colour fast shell, no sticky finger syndrome
- Come in huge packets

Con's
- Limited alphabet potential
- American
- brittle shells
- they all taste the same
- Plastic bags with wasps in dont have the same effect as tubed wasps.

I'm a smarties fan, and am desperate for the letters "f", "q" and "z" - I have several t's and r's, I am willing to trade if you have them and a spare "b" if you need it (V. rare, and often confused with an upside down "q") ... willing to do a two for one swap for the letter "z".

I aim to please.... judging by the number of Pro's and Con's, I've probably been dwelling on this topic a bit too long.

You think? ;)

Don't worry, I'm sure James will match the amount of time and effort you have put into thinking about this :D

No it really is bugging me - cos smarties are like, when you were kids and they were great, but they still are great - but m&m's were like american and cool and bmx bandits and stuff but smartie tubes could make wicked silencers for cap guns but m&m's didn't melt everywhere in the summer - but then smarties could be used for improptu face painting when they started melting but then again m&m's......
You fucking bastard.

i have to agree with emmy - peanut M&Ms are the nuts (ha ha) they kick smarties arse

the only different flavour in smarties is orange chocolate, and thats in either the blue or orange smartie

but, u cud eat smarties all day long and not feel too sick, but M&Ms wud probably kill u, if not worse

m&m's r cool because of the peanut option , but then they stole that from TREATS ( those were the days ) .
but smarties rule on the choc only front. :)

james why bother putting a silencer on a cap gun surley this is a waste of perfectly good caps  :whatsthat:

Yeah it doesn't actually silence it cos the noise comes from the caps which fire in the breach - but it looks like a silencer! Smarties tube wrapped in black tape is a perfect shape for a silencer for those childhood Bodie & Doyle re-enactment moments (for those of you old enough/have cable and know what I'm talking about) ;)
