They gave me a motorbike license!! By the power of an excellent direct access course I am now able to ride any size bike I want. I've been sensible though, got myself a nice BMW F650 CS to start with...
If you wish to hand in your driving license and get off the road at this point, please contact the DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BJ. -------------------- "You do not have to say anything, but anything you do say will be taken down in pencil and changed at a later date to best prove my case."

Gratz - and god help us! I was telling Jon about the direct access course the other night and he was very interested - is there a site with details of it?

Sure is mate, very good school and they use the same bike i got!!
Bikewize Link The BMW has a tighter turning circle and lower center of gravity which makes it easier to control, hence easier to pass the test in theory... -------------------- "You do not have to say anything, but anything you do say will be taken down in pencil and changed at a later date to best prove my case."

I hate the DVLA, not just for the above reason, and that they are mostly Welsh. Just they are thick, incompetent, and cost me money!

Cost £537.00, thats one day CBT training, and four days on road DAS training. The test is normally on the afternoon of the fourth day. They can provide all the kit if needed and the price includes insurance and hire of the bike including fuel....
