Microsoft - networking........., 360 linking Options

Having recently bought a shiny new 360 to go in my kinda shiny newish home I decided I didn't want to have 50 feet of ethernet cable linking my pc and my 'box.

I went out and bought the 'wireless network adapter' by microsoft and also purchased a wireless router/modem from BT. Having set up the modem/router thingy to work on the pc (EASY) I went to the xbox expecting the worse.

I opened up the pack to find a very neat and tidy little box with a sticky up bit (antena), an instruction book the thickness of the bible and a diagram of where to plug it in. Being male I went and plugged it in after throwing the instruction book on the couch. I turned on the xbox and it came up asking me for a WEP number. (After looking on google to find out what the hell a WEP number was) I found it and entred it.

Thats it. It worked. Online gaming, movie and game downloads, movie and game trailer downloads, demo downloads, conection to the pc..... everything without a single CTL ALT DEL???!!??

What the hell is going on? All I can say is 'Thank you Microsoft' and this time I am not being sarcastic.

Good effort, chap! The 360 front-end interface is a real joy to use and I'm glad you got the wireless adapter working without any trouble. I'm looking forward to Top Spin 2 and Burnout Revenge which should be out shortly. Keep an eye out!
