Hey all,
Just doing a bit of research for some product development, and was wondering what seems to be the most common form of breaking balls at the moment? Hoppers seem to be faster now and keep up with guns, meaning less chops, but the force feed seems to make hopper breaks more common. Is this true or are there other problems now? Was wondering if you could give some advice (and clarify with maybe a post about the gat u use and the problems) to help try and identify some common themes? -------------------- |

Egg on Nexus E1 with Boomstick - I don't recall ever breaking a ball BUT I can't shoot fast, it's set up slow and the Egg doesn't really force (a gentle nudge maybe). So in conclusion I didn't vote cos I'm no help whatsoever (but hey - there's no option for 'never'). Em might have had some different experiences (same gun, different event's) so I'll make sure she looks at this thread.

Im currently running an Egg/Angel LCD and generally the only breaks I get are due to blow through I havent had a chop or hopper breakage as yet so I figure its more down to the paint than anything else.

I run an Angel LCD Dark Angel with Intellifed Revvy, almost always with the freak barrel setup with the teardrop front. I have been using it for years and have never had a hopper burst, very seldom (like once or twice) had a breech burst and rarely have a barrel burst. When I do have a barrel burst I tend not to have to clean my barrel too much, so there is minimal paint in there, which would lead me to believe the ball breaks on its way out, so its more the paint than anything.

with snapping with a few balls in the loader i sometimes break in the loader, which leads to breaks in breech/barrel.

I would have thought that the current level of breech sensor and loader technology would almost eliminate ball breaks in the gun or the feed neck. Force loaders can be quite brutal on fragile paint and that is where I have seen a majority of ball breaks. Premium paint that is well looked-after should reduce ball breaks in todays markers. The Ringers shot Powerball at this year's Big Game and Victory at last year's event and there was a marked difference in gun performance. I think your product developement budget should be aimed at getting more colour options on the Ego. You could have any colour combination you wanted on the Evos but there's no news of custom Ego fades. Sort it!
