Anybody know anything about Snowboarding?
I need to know how you work out what length Snowboard to buy? And if its better to go shorter or longer if you cant get the size you need? I rented a 158 the other week but can only find 157's and 159's which should i get? HELP! -------------------- Very funny, now tell me the one that doesnt suck.

Erm cheap beginner board (starting on dry slope then on to snow end of year).
Free Ride Probably. About 5'10 I think. They worked out that I needed a 158 by putting it up against my shoulder in the shop. Found the board to be ok on the top snow we had in the Alps so was looking for that length again but all cheap ones are either 157 or 159 and wasnít sure to go shorter or longer. I know that longer is prob better for beginner stability but think shorter to help my turning, as stability doesnít seem to be a problem for me. Id definately go freeride, And by the sounds of it youd be better off with a shorter board. Id go and try one out before you buy, but it should be easier to turn, and start getting into tricks and jumps. (though you wont be able to go quite as fast).
