Hi Guys,
I was wondering if the Ringers are going to be putting a team together or the 2007 Big Game on the 6th of May, details are available here http://www.biggame007.com/site/index.html I went last year and it was fun, much bigger than the Staargate game, it even had crappy sound effects all day, e.g. airstrike sounds etc. Regards Alex |

Just got something through the post this morning - looks like a good game plan.
(Have we been to this site before?) I've checked my rota and I'm off the whole weekend, so I don't think I have any excuse not to go!! Anyone else interested in a 007 themed big game?!! -------------------- Wrong Shui

I've checked my rota and I'm off the whole weekend, so I don't think I have any excuse not to go!! Anyone else interested in a 007 themed big game?!! The event is at the "Heart of England centre" (near Coventry if I remember correctly). The site was excellent, with loads of space for tents and caravans onsite with portaloos provided. Room for a big trade stand area, with loads of paint and shiny things on sale. The game area was very large with plenty of space so the game did not feel cramped, but it was a bit of a treck to get back to air up when you are on the other side of the wood. Loads of wood to hide in, loads of wide paths for quad bikes to follow and some very tight choke points where heavy firefights inevitably happen. All in all last years event was quite good, but the atmosphere was not quite up to the UKPSF Staargate event, with Guppy throwing fire around and teddy bears blowing up, and pandas doing unspeakable things. It's a quality site, with some excellent facilities. I had a great time at the pre-game party, well right up until when Ben got blind drunk and went off chasing invisible Nazis. I woke up in someone else's tent to find he had driven off at the crack of dawn with all our kit in the car. Mr Mullens eventually returned to the site later that morning with a hangover and a cold bacon & egg mcmuffin for his troubles. All this self-abuse, however, merely steeled him for the battle ahead and we had a fantastic day trouncing many unsuspecting punters. Ben, you are a legend.

I can't comment on the allegation of invisable 'Nazi's' I will however say that I am also in agreement with Mikee on this, the site is one of the best I have been to in years, the players pre-party was indeed messy even if the death metal band was how can I say 'A bit special' but hey what would Paintball be with out a hang over? I cant say because I never played without one!
PS. That bacon and Egg Mcmuffin is still out there lurking on field two beware............ Mikee Luv ya man!! -------------------- SOMETIMES OUTNUMBERED BUT NEVER OUT GUNNED

Yeah i also got some info through the post, im concidering going, its only because of the letdown at the 05 one that would make me not want to go, pure disorganisation..... Still it was kinda fun shooting people who were spawning from the same start area as you whilest they chrono'd their guns (the chrono station was actually on the field) muwahaha.
It depends on whose going i guess :D -------------------- c>3 "need backup"

Still not sure about where this site is, from the other posts, it sounds like every other big game that I have been to over the last six years...
So, enough of the chat - has anyone actually paid yet? -------------------- Wrong Shui

Well I am assuming that if Time-Wars is also in May we will probably be going to that instead. I probably don't want to do two big games in one month.
What are everyone else's thoughts. |
