OK, so Carl, my mate from wing chun has put my name down for the Woking 1/2 bike race under the guise that it's actually a pub crawl.

After returning from Durham on monday afternoon, i received my t-shirt and number. †I am to raise money for charity (bate) for Leukaemia Research and cycle 16.9 miles (a doddle).

2 things...

1. Can u guys sponser me just a couple of quid each please, it will be going to a good cause.

2. †Can someone lend me a bike, or it'll be like King Arthur in the Holy Grail where he uses acoustic devices to make up for his lack of transport.

3. †Carl sold me the idea based on 'it's a bit of a pub crawl', so can someone come to the finish line to photo the 'end result'. †It's gonna b messy.

Finished the bikeride yesterday in a record time of 5 1/2 hours.  Managed to knock back 8 pints (which is a lot for me) and not fall off the bike.  More time was spent inside than out.

We probably would have taken longer had we not cheated and cut out a section of the route with a shortcut.  But it didn't stop us getting pissed on in the last 2 miles.  When we finally made it to the finish there weren't many people about (envisage wailing wind, the bell toll and the tumbleweeds).  Some bloke even made it round the course twice apparently in less time than it took us.  Got plenty of photos on the way round.

A top day, although i was almost taken out by a cornish pasty in the early stages of the ride.
