Vista will make protected digital content all fuzzy unless it is viewed on high bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compatible monitor.
The memory thing is about dual channel DDR2, Vista works with normal DDR but is optimized for Dual channel also Vista supports ReadyBoost cache which is an additional type of flash memory to make booting the behemoth software faster.
There are loads of other non essential hardware options that fully optimize Vista, not sure if this is PC hardware final being optimized to its limit or its just catching up with other system in one big leap?

Warning:
I think MS have written a self destruct into XP so that is sends your processor up in smoke if you change anything on your PC now Vista is launched!
I moved my PC internals from one case to another and when I switched it on smoke came out of the CPU.
I thought ok not that major as I will just get a new CPU, oh how wrong I was!!!
The CPU is not made or available anywhere and the motherboard doesnt support any of the new ones.
Thought BUGGER but still I just need to replace the M/B but NO, they dont do AGP anymore!
So now I have to get a new CPU, M/B, Graphics card.
Crud ok now I find my DDR is of the really slow type and is not compatible with the new M/B either!
Also it seems that the new M/B only have 1 or 2 PCI slots which means I can not install all my card unless I replace some of them.

So what should have been a £25-£40 fix now turns in to a £300 fix!
