Got woken from my slumber at 4.30 this afternoon by some chap called Daniel, who informs me he is from the London evening standard, I am at this point only half interested, thinking this is a marketing call from some poor phone sales sap, still trying to get a job that will pay off his student loan.
'Remeber entering the Citroen Competition in last weeks paper?' he chirps. Brain gets into second gear at his point and I start listening 'You won...........' he then says. Firstly I try to curb my dissapointment that the only time I have ever won anything and it turns out to be a fecking Citroen, I cheer up. Anyway - If you want some luck to rub off onto you, feel free to come round. Ladies at a time that I will be unoccupied and you must be wearing a little as possible, because I am shallow, and guys, at a time when I can get a suitable Sennett shaped proxy to be there for you. Alternatively, I will be selling the car, as it is about as useful to me as a haddock in a fist fight. So if u fancy a brand spanking new car (a C2, for those interested, which is actually quite good for a frog thing) and you have £5k in your pocket, its yours. F*^%king result. PS Jeff, might as well add new PM6 to go underneath the Halo! -------------------- Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers of a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae.
The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Fcuknig amzanig huh |

I won a competition on Dave Pearce's first Hip-hop show on Radio 1 called 'A Fresh Start to the Week' in 1984. By answering three questions about rap music newest rising star, an 18 year old by the name of LL Cool J, I won tickets to see him in the new Hip-hop movie Krush Grooving at an exclusive screening at the Bijou cinema in Soho. It was a small venue with about 20 other competition winners from all over London there to see it. Dave Pearce was there but he didn't want to talk to anyone, which was strange for a DJ. Perhaps Tim Westwood could take a hint. Anyway, the film was arse.
