Ok guys, with a crap big game that a lot of us had to miss I don't know about you chaps but I need more action. Steve Bull has confirmed that we can put a squad in so I need to know who's up for it- definites only please as I can't afford to have lots of people drop out at the last minute.
The event is a 15- man tourney on the 29th May at Wakefield, with 30-minute games played on big fields and there will be 8-10 teams competing. We should be able to camp on the Sat night and then go and get some old-school action on the Sunday, with extra points for using mech/pump/pistol style markers. Team entry is £500, which works out as £35 each for 15 of us or £25 if we can field 20 players. Come on guys, get in if you can as this is going to be a lot of fun and very much our sort of thing. I will be getting in touch with players in Norfolk etc to bulk up the squad, but the more the merrier (and cheaper) so anyone of any level of experience is very welcome. I also need a couple of volunteers to act as bullet catchers This post has been edited by Doctor: May 4 2005, 11:45 AM -------------------- "Think neither of victory nor of yourself, but only of eating a really big pie."

Thank you, Steve, for putting the thing on in the first place, and thanks to Gilly and Hatts for yet again working too hard and stressing too much over a bunch of whinging players
I personally had a great day and I feel the rest of our team did as well, especially once we'd won a few and shot a few folks. I felt it was a shame that some people couldn't get into the spirit and felt the need to cheat, whinge etc etc but what can you do with tourney types eh? Hopefully next time more people will get the point and leave the electros at home, as I felt it would have been even more fun with a few less balls in the air, less overshooting etc. But all in all a great event, a fantastic weekend and yah boo sucks to all who stayed at home This post has been edited by Doctor: Jun 1 2005, 08:37 PM -------------------- "Think neither of victory nor of yourself, but only of eating a really big pie."

QUOTE(Doctor @ May 31 2005, 06:30 PM) Thank you, Steve, for putting the thing on in the first place, and thanks to Gilly and Hatts for yet again working too hard and stressing too much over a bunch of whinging players I personally had a great day and I feel the rest of our team did as well, especially once we'd won a few and shot a few folks. Thanks to everyone who came. Russ |
