I just bought an Airgun Designs 6Pak on t'internet in the original box with all the bits, instructions etc. If anyone knows what the hell I'm on about they'll know why I'm so happy
The instructions are comedy gold; "With today's guns averaging 25 shots per 12 gram preloading seven cartridges gives you (6x25=) 150 shots before reloading. That's about how many shots are used in an average game." How things have changed -------------------- "Think neither of victory nor of yourself, but only of eating a really big pie."

There certainly seems to be far too much emphasis on whether or not ones paintball kit is colour co-ordinated or exactly how many balls a second ones marker fires. While i am on the subject though, On a SERIOUS NOTE THOUGH I tell you now it will not be long, if things carry on this way till ethier some one is hurt through goggle faliure due to excessive ball strikes or the whole alot will be banned because technically a marker is a air weapon and therefore by definition a fire arm, and being capable of fully automatic fire means that these new markers are technically section 5 (1) (a) weapons grouped with things like tear gas, tazerguns and alike.
I found these quotes relating to this..... "Please note that full-automatic weapons have *never* been legal in the UK" (with the exception of end user certificate holders ie arms dealers). ìWhile only the courts can offer a final ruling, it seems likely that a paintball gun capable of fully automatic or burst fire would count as a prohibited weapon under Section 5(1)(a) of the Firearms Act 1968. The maximum penalty for possessing such an item is ten years imprisonment. A circuit board or chip to allow fully automatic or burst fire would be a component part of such a weaponî. "Further discussions this week and letters exchanged between the UKPSF and the Home Office have confirmed that Section 5(1)(a) prohibits any weapon, which discharges two or more missiles with one operation of the trigger". This carrys with it a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment for use or posession of said items I beleave (dont quote me on that). So is paintball really evolving???? or about to disappear from our shores for good??? you decide. But i feel that these 'ramping boards' and full auto functions are a silly idea and can only go on to cause us all aggro in the long run. I am sure that there are many out there that would beg to differ but I feel that now these markers are actually being advertised as full auto, How long do you think it will be before someone in a decision making position in the government notices??? Come on guys (you know who you are) sort it out before they do it for us. For example this ad http://www.warpedpaintball.co.uk/ion.asp (This is purely an example) This post has been edited by ALCOSHOCK: May 12 2005, 09:09 AM -------------------- SOMETIMES OUTNUMBERED BUT NEVER OUT GUNNED
