Guys- for those of you that haven't heard, I was approached by the captain of a team called Red Heat on Sunday as I was leaving the big game and threatened with death or injury after dissing them on the internet. I have started a thread giving an "apology" for my comments, and I'd be very grateful if any of you passing through p8 would leave a comment either asking Red Heat not to kill me and giving a funny reason, or asking them to kill me and giving funnier reason. I know it's silly, but I don't like being threatened by several guys who are careful to catch me alone and tell me they'll fuck me up if I don't watch my mouth on the internet.

I don't doubt this fellow is the kind of tightly wound slightly psycho that could quite easily go off on someone, but how do you deal with that? Roll over and let him have his way? If you read the thread you'll see his death threats followed on from a very minor "insult" that I forgot about two minutes after posting it. He is already antagonised, it doesn't seem to take much, but I'll be damned if I'll roll over just because some nutter can't deal with real life. If he tries anything at any event in the next five years there'll be no doubt who's to blame, and in the meantime I've already had PM's from two far scarier people on P8 offering to sort him out if he tries anything. (I refused- violence is bad, mmkay?)

Letting people push you around just because they might be nuts is crap. Also, if he needs several mates to front one crippled fatty he can't be that hard, can he?
