I borrowed this game from Mikey and have been playing in a bit this week.
When I first saw it at Janette's, I thought it looked great and had some nice touches. It looked like paintball which, lets face it, the other paintball games just didn't! At first play it is fairly easy to pick up and play (somewhat badly). I played a few tounaments and lost in most of the games. I slowly got better and started winning a few with the use of tactics as apossed to the general running around I had been trying. I am from the 'Old School' Counter Strike days when I just grabbed my handy weapon of choice and blasted things as I ran at full speed. You can't do that on this game!! I will be honest it started to bore me slightly. I then introduced my (used once or twice) paintball brain and started using angles, timed moves, snap shooting etc and would you believe it I started cleaning up. I was winnning and that brings cash which brings new guns and kit - I started winning more (only because now I could shoot in a straight line once in a while). This game has now become quite addictive and I would recommend it to anyone that has played paintball and hates rain (James). I would guess that if you have never played paintball then you would soon give up as you would have no desire to continue getting shot after 30 seconds of starting each round. All in all a great game but there are a couple of annoying little things I would like to see fixed if they ever try again: You have no control (Tactics) over your team - you can be pinned down at the front and the rest of your team will carry on painting the other corner rendering you useless. It would be nice to have a button to get them to push up or hold back etc. A little explanation as to how the new shiny kit that is available will help you shoot more people - Like I said I am not a hardcore paintball player and I have no idea why a 300 point air tank will help me?!?!?! Nor will Joe Public! Marks out of ten is hard 8/10 if you have played paintball before 4/10 if your haven't I'm spent -------------------- Of course I'm arrogant...The best always are!
