I think it will appeal to the average gamer for several reasons. To succeed in the game, one must employ an effective use of cover and snap-shooting rather than picking up better weapons. Instead of relying on a Mega-Frag Cannon or similar device, victory is achieved by getting into a better position, offensively or defensively, than your opponent. Also, the 'glance' is a novel feature. Whilst firing, you can quickly look to your left or right by tapping the appropiate button on your d-pad. In almost every other game, your weapon follows your point of view which can be annoying if you just want to have a quick peek to your side. It's a great idea and will save you from many a mugging. The game doesn't break any new ground technically and it's difficult to perfom a run-through, but these are just quibbles. It's got some cool ideas lacking in so many current FPS titles and I think most players will find it a refreshing change.
